Mentorship Pilot Programme

09 Dec 2020
The NZ Comedy Guild and NZ Comedy Trust are delighted to announce a new Comedy Mentorship Programme we’re trialling from the start of 2021.
We’re looking for three comedians who would like to develop their craft with the support of an established comedian mentor working alongside them for a period of three months. There isn’t a set level you need to be at to be a part of this programme but as a guide, we’re looking for mentees who have been doing comedy for at least one year.
To apply for the mentorship programme please complete a short submission at the link below. Submissions close 30 December. We will contact the selected mentees in mid-Jan. We are proud to announce the mentors are James Roque, Michèle A'Court and Eli Matthewson.
This trial is intended to be the start of a long-running mentorship programme which will be operated by the Guild in the long term. This trial and programme development is being jointly worked on by The Guild and The Trust. The Trust is contributing financially to support this effort as part of their mission to create opportunities to develop, promote and grow a sustainable and diverse comedy industry in New Zealand.
If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to get in touch with Corin, Tim or Lauren.
